A unique yoga workshop based on (neuro)science, physio and eastern medicine
Back pain is an increasing problem and is a leading cause of disability. In 2017 in the Netherlands, more than 2 million people were diagnosed with back and neck problems *.
So, you likely will come across some of them in your yoga class.
The latest studies* suggest that yoga and similar movements focused on strengthening back & core can help back pain. But taking Ahimsa into consideration: what is within your scope of expertise as a yoga teacher to advise and teach yogis and do you recognize when you better should ask for help or advise about what to do?
WHO IS IT FOR?
This workshop is for yoga teachers (only) who are interested in a deeper understanding (scientifically/emotionally and physically, thought patterns, organ function) of back issues, how to observe and detect problems and what you as a yoga teacher can or can’t do for certain back problems.
Christel Lemmen is a Yoga teacher-trainer (Yoga Alliance), a Physiotherapist, a P.E. teacher and exercise physiologist.
She loves to travel and to educate yoga teachers around the world, using a deep understanding of the human body, yoga and how to manage and treat injuries.
